TopFrame has been providing surveyor inspection services since 2001. We operate around the clock anywhere in the world. Our experts annually conduct more than 35,000 inspections for 2,000 clients from Russia and abroad. An extensive network of specialists and offices allows us to conduct inspections at any stage of transportation from the consignor to the final recipient
Surveying services involve the independent expert inspection of cargo, vehicles, vessels, and the conditions under which they are transported. A surveyor (independent inspector) conducts an inspection, records the quantity and quality of the goods, checks the packaging, cargo securing, condition of the transport, and compliance with international standards. Based on the results, an official report with photographic evidence is prepared, which serves as evidence in disputes, insurance claims, and claims processing.
They help minimize the risk of losses due to damage, shortages, improper loading, or violations of transport conditions. The surveyor documents the actual condition of the cargo at every stage (before loading, during transport, and upon unloading), which allows for the timely identification of violations and protects the customer’s interests vis-à-vis the supplier, carrier, or insurance company. This is particularly important for international sea, road, and container transport.
These services are in demand among importers and exporters, logistics companies, insurance organizations, shipowners, manufacturers, and traders. Any interested party can act as a client: the shipper (for quality control), the consignee (for inspection upon receipt), the insurer (for assessing risks or losses), or the carrier.
Pricing is calculated on a case-by-case basis and depends on the type of inspection, the nature and volume of the cargo, the region where the work is to be performed, the urgency of the request, and the need for laboratory testing. We always provide a transparent quote after receiving a request with a detailed description of the task. In most cases, the cost is offset by the prevention of losses and the successful resolution of claims.
We are ready to visit the site as soon as possible—usually within 1–2 business days after the request is confirmed (depending on the region and the availability of a surveyor). In urgent cases (cargo damage, insurance incident), we can arrange an inspection on the same day the request is received. We recommend submitting your request in advance, especially for ocean freight and remote ports
